The Chamber’s Ambassador Program consists of approximately 50 volunteers who annually call on executives to determine the business community’s level of satisfaction with the local business climate. Approximately 300 to 400 Chamber member companies are contacted to gather their thoughts on the advantages and disadvantages of Omaha as a marketplace.
Interviews are conducted with the president, CEO or other high level officer. Ambassadors discuss the issues facing Omaha during the next three to five years, they update companies about Chamber programs and services, and determine if personalized follow-up assistance is needed.
Popular issues include:
- The regional and national economic outlook
- Domestic and international competition
- Health care costs
- Changes in technology
The Ambassador Program is an excellent gauge of the community’s business pulse. You can play an active role in the program by signing on as an ambassador, or by requesting to be a participating company.
