There are many important issues being discussed and debated in Washington, D.C., and it's important that our federal delegation hears from and speaks to the business community. All members of Nebraska's federal delegation — Sens. Ben Nelson and Mike Johanns, and Reps. Lee Terry, Jeff Fortenberry and Adrian Smith — have been invited to come home to converse with constituents. 9 a.m. Nebraska Congressional Forum Are you a young professional interested in attending? Young professionals are invited to a special gathering after the Legislative Summit. The agenda will be: 2 p.m. Governor's address to young professionals 2:30 p.m. Panel of elected and involved young professional political representatives The goal of this session is to provide young professionals the opportunity to engage with a small, diverse panel of elected and involved young professionals. The discussion will provide attendees information on the following: getting involved, understanding the process, promoting leaders, resources within politics, etc. 3:30 p.m. Breakouts to discuss governor's objectives for Nebraska YPs The goal of this session is to provide recommendations to Gov. Heineman and other elected officials as far as retention and attraction for Nebraska. 4 p.m. Networking reception This event is a joint effort of the Greater Omaha Chamber, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
